A 6-year-old girl was killed and five other people suffered minor-to-serious injuries at a two-vehicle crash in Palmdale.
PALMDALE, CA — A 6-year-old girl was killed and five other people suffered minor-to-serious injuries at a two-vehicle crash in Palmdale, authorities said Sunday.
The crash occurred about 11 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Pearblossom Highway and 25th Street East, according to the sheriff's Palmdale station.
A 55-year-old woman driving a northbound 2022 gray Subaru Outback allegedly ran a red light and struck an eastbound 2014 Toyota Camry, which entered the intersection on a green traffic light.

The Toyota Camry broadsided the Subaru Outback in the intersection.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene at 11:07 a.m. rushed six people to two hospitals, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.

The 6-year-old girl died from her injuries at one of the two hospitals, and five others suffered minor-to-serious injuries, the sheriff's Palmdale station reported.
"The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time," according to a news statement.
