2 Arrested In Shooting Of Westside Girl, 8, From Apartment Next Door: LAPD
The 8-year-old girl was struck by a bullet when a neighbor discharged a gun, police said.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Two people were taken into custody Monday after an 8-year-old girl was wounded by a stray bullet fired through the wall of her family's apartment in the Del Rey neighborhood near Culver City.
The shot was fired about 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the 4700 block of South Slauson Avenue, between Culver Boulevard and the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The girl was taken to a hospital and was reported in stable condition.

According to the LAPD, the shot was fired from a neighboring residence.
KTLA5 reported that officers from the LAPD Pacific Division took at least two suspects into custody at an apartment complex in Del Rey shortly after 6 p.m. Monday.

Police did not confirm a report that guns were seized from a neighbor of the girl.
