Guard At Mansion Owned By The Weeknd's Manager Shot, 3 Suspects At Large: Report

Gunfire erupted outside a home Monday morning owned by the prominent music executive, who has also worked with Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

ENCINO, CA — Three suspects were at large Monday morning after a security guard was shot outside the home of a music executive who has worked with the Weeknd and other prominent artists, according to authorities and reports.

Officers responded to a home on the 1700 block of Jayden Lane at around 2:25 a.m. following a report of the shooting. The victim, a security guard, was inside a guard shack when he heard several shots and then discovered he had also been struck by gunfire, a Los Angeles Police Department representative told Patch.

The shooting occurred outside a home owned by Amir Esmailian, a music executive and producer better known as Cash XO. Esmailian cofounded the record label XO with singer the Weeknd and has worked with Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert. He was recently called out in a diss track by Drake, Complex reported.

After the shooting, three suspects fled the area, the LAPD said. The victim described the suspects as three men wearing hoodies and surgical masks, Fox 11 reported.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital in unknown condition, according to the LAPD.

Authorities said at least four people were inside the home at the time of the shooting and believe the security guard was working for Esmailian. Police are exploring the possibility that the suspects were attempting burglary or home invasion, Fox 11 reported.

The home is currently listed for sale for just under $12 million, KTLA reported.
