Gunman Holes Up In LA Laundromat In Hours-Long Standoff

A gunman holed up in a Los Angeles laundromat for several hours Thursday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A suspected gunman holed up in a laundromat in Koreatown for several hours Thursday before being taken into custody.

Officers responded at 5:40 a.m. to the area of Third Street and Catalina Avenue to investigate a report of a man with a gun, setting off the standoff, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect was taken into custody without further incident around 9:40 a.m., police said. No further details were immediately released.
