Here Are The Worst Freeways In SoCal: Report
Do you have a Southland freeway you especially despise? See if your feelings match these rankings.
Southern California is internationally revered for its sandy beaches, mountain ranges, sunny disposition and star power. Still, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone enamoured with its freeway system.
The infamous network of freeways was recently analyzed by the Los Angeles Times, which ranked each freeway and highway from best to worst using data from the Caltrans Performance Measurement System (PeMS).
The Times' analysis of that data weighted these four factors: Average speed, delays, lost productivity and fatal crashes.

The newspaper offered a unique "freeway fact" for each road listed. For example, the 405 — ranked as the third worst freeway — has been the subject of many songs over the years, including one from Beyonće and Miley Cyrus last year: “I’ll be your shotgun rider ‘til the day I die. Smoke out the window flyin’ down the 405.”
