Casa Dani by sbe, the dazzling new restaurant from three-Michelin-starred Spanish chef Dani García, has opened its doors at Westfield Century City, and it’s already setting the table for LA’s next great dining obsession.

The restaurant is conceived in partnership with hospitality visionary Sam Nazarian, who as sbe's Founder and CEO, is famed for his long list of acclaimed venues over the years including Katsuya, Cleo, Umami Burger, SLS Hotels & Residences, Zouk LA, Hyde Lounge, The Sayers Club, Greystone Manor, Nightingale Plaza, Doheny Room, The Colony and XIV Summer Sessions.

With design by the legendary David Rockwell, Casa Dani isn’t just another glamorous restaurant opening—it’s a statement that Mediterranean cuisine, in the hands of García, can be both soulful and spectacular, comforting and cutting-edge.

Welcome to “Dani’s House”

“Casa Dani” literally translates to Dani’s House, and true to its name, the restaurant feels like a love letter to García’s roots in southern Spain.

“It’s an honor to share the traditional flavors of my beloved Andalusian and Spanish roots through family recipes and culture,” García said.

Those roots run deep. Hailing from Marbella, García is one of Spain’s most celebrated culinary figures—a chef who has earned global acclaim for blending Andalusian warmth with avant-garde innovation.

His signature approach plays with contrasts—hot and cold, creamy and crisp, traditional and modern—without ever losing sight of the Mediterranean heart that anchors every dish.

At Casa Dani, he’s brought that philosophy to life across a menu that celebrates color, texture, and coastal freshness, leaning heavily on fish and seafood. Think vibrant paellas—from a vegetable-forward ode to LA’s farmers markets to the seafood paella layered with saffron, prawns, and mussels.

Crowd-pleasing small plates include the super popular Oxtail brioche, Iberico ham croquetas, octopus carpaccio, and the playfully named “Burger That Made It All Make Sense”—a wagyu creation dressed in García’s secret sauce. You'll even find Sofia Vergara and her son, Manolo, on the menu with their TOMA chorizo empanadas.

Seafood lovers will gravitate toward García’s famed Andalusian tuna plates, from the jewel-toned tuna carpaccio to the duo tartare featuring Akami and O’toro cuts. And for pasta purists, dishes like “La Fiesta Mediterranea”—a pacheri pasta with scallops, lobster, and blue prawns—turn Italian comfort into coastal art.

Where Style Meets Soul

Casa Dani shares a 17,000-square-foot culinary playground with its neighbor Katsuya Century City, reimagined by master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi. Together, the two restaurants form sbe’s latest culinary statement piece—a Mediterranean-Japanese dual concept with three bars, an atrium arrival, and a terrace that peers out toward the hills.

Inside Casa Dani, the design by Rockwell and his Rockwell Group is pure sophistication. Warm woods, golden hues, and an open kitchen evoke a coastal market in motion—a space that feels both modern and timeless.

Whether you’re settling in for an intimate dinner or celebrating over shared plates and wine, the atmosphere hums with that elusive Mediterranean spirit—easy, generous, and joyful.

The Dani García Effect

For those who have followed García’s rise—from his pioneering restaurant Dani García Restaurante, which earned three Michelin stars, to his global concepts in London, Madrid, and Dubai—Casa Dani marks a significant milestone: his first West Coast restaurant.

It’s a rare opportunity for Angelenos to experience García’s interpretation of Mediterranean dining without crossing the Atlantic.

“It’s an honor to partner with Sam Nazarian and sbe to open Casa Dani in the beautiful and sunny city of Los Angeles," Garcia said.

A New Culinary Destination for LA

Nazarian, whose sbe empire has shaped nightlife and dining culture from Los Angeles to Miami and New York to Dubai, calls Casa Dani and Katsuya Century City “our newest LA masterpiece.”

"These culinary destinations have been meticulously crafted to offer an unparalleled dining experience reflecting sbe's essence of innovation and excellence. We continually push for the best spaces across every city we have roots in and have been highly anticipating the debut of these stunning spaces," Nazarian said.

It’s hard to argue. Between García’s sun-drenched Mediterranean flair and Uechi’s sleek Japanese craftsmanship, this new Westfield Century City outpost isn’t just a mall restaurant—it’s a destination, where culinary artistry meets cosmopolitan energy.

For LA’s restaurant lovers, Casa Dani feels like the start of a new chapter: where global meets local, and every dish tells a story of passion.

The Mediterranean has officially arrived in Century City, and it’s never looked as good as this.
