LA Labubu Heist: Masked Thieves Steal $7K Worth Of The Popular Dolls
The Labubu craze reaches new heights as robbers packed a truck with the little monsters this week. What to know.

LA PUENTE, CA — Masked robbers stole about $7,000 worth of the wildly popular Labubu dolls from a store in east Los Angeles County this week, authorities said.
The heist for the stuffed creatures was reported Wednesday morning at a store in La Puente, a city 18 miles east of LA, according to the county's sheriff's department.
The suspects used a stolen Toyota Tacoma for the robbery, the department said. The truck was recovered shortly after the incident, according to deputies.

"Today we got robbed, and they took all of our inventory, trashed our store, we are still in shock, if you guys can share this post please and help us find these [thieves]," the store owners wrote in a post.
Security footage showed what appeared to be four men grabbing inventory from the store.
Labubu was created by Hong Kong-born artist and Netherlands-raised Kasing Lung, who first released his story series "The Monsters" in 2015. The story, heavily influenced by Nordic mythology, features the rabbit-eared character "Labubu."
Although Labubu has been in existence for 10 years, the craze just recently caught on in the U.S. Today, Labubu is a global pop-culture icon with hundreds of versions of the toy available worldwide.
The cost of the toothy monsters ranges anywhere between $20 to more than $1,000, depending on the Labubu.
