LAFD Begins Rescue Of Man Who Fell Over Cliff In San Pedro
An LAFD helicopter will lift and transport the patient directly to a local trauma center by air, a spokesperson said.
SAN PEDRO, CA — A 25-year-old man was in critical condition Saturday after he fell approximately 30 feet over a cliff in San Pedro, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
LAFD rescue crews were called at 11:06 p.m. Friday to 1 Point Fermin near the landslide and tourist area known as The Sunken City, where they reached the victim and began preparing for a hoist operation to attempt to rescue the man.
An LAFD helicopter will lift and transport the patient directly to a local trauma center by air, said LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
