LAPD Investigates 2 Stabbings Sending Victims To Hospitals

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Police Department Saturday began investigations after two men were wounded in unrelated stabbings at separate locations.

The first was reported at 2:19 p.m. at Sixth and Bonnie Brae streets in the Westlake district, Officer Tony Im told City News Service.

A 25-year-old man was conscious and breathing after he was stabbed, Im said. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment.

Just a few minutes later, at 2:22 p.m., a 35-year-old man was stabbed in the 5300 block of Holmes Avenue, between Long Beach Avenue and Alameda Street, in the Central-Alameda area, he said.

Information about suspects and motives was not immediately available, Im said.
