LOS ANGELES -- A live town hall event examining the L.A. City Council racist comments scandal airs at 6 pm Thursday on KTTV Channel 11, commonly known as Fox 11 L.A.
Fox 11 is hosting the live town hall with The Los Angeles Times for the purpose of examining the scandal and exploring a way forward for the city, according to the newspaper.
Planned topics include the City Council's power, relations between L.A.’s Black and Latino communities, and what's needed for the city to move forward.

"The live forum will include discussions with city officials, community leaders and experts, as well as participation from residents," the Times wrote on its website. "Topics will include the immense power of the City Council, relations between L.A.’s Black and Latino communities, and what reforms and reckoning may be necessary for the community to move forward."
Times columnists Erika D. Smith and LZ Granderson and reporter Benjamin Oreskes are set to join Fox anchors Elex Michaelson and Marla Tellez for the one-hour special with city and community leaders and residents across Los Angeles.
