The middle school was on lockdown Friday afternoon after a student reported seeing a person with a gun on campus, according to ABC 7.
LYNWOOD, CA — A middle school in Lynwood was on lockdown Friday afternoon after a student reported seeing someone on campus with a gun, ABC 7 reported.
The incident at Hosler Middle School is not an active shooter situation and no shots have been fired, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
NBC 4 described the response to Friday's report as a "soft lockdown" and that the person reported to have a gun was another student.
