Male Struck, Killed In Hit-and-Run Collision On Santa Monica Freeway
The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the California Highway Patrol said.
LOS ANGELES — A male pedestrian was struck and killed Monday, Sept. 25, on
the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in an apparent hit-and-run collision.
Responding officers arrived shortly before 8:30 p.m. to the westbound
portion of the freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard regarding a pedestrian struck by
a vehicle and the vehicle that hit him fled, according to the California
Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said. The Los
Angeles Police Department was investigating the fatal traffic collision.
