Man Critically Wounded In Shooting At Los Angeles Mall

​A man was critically wounded during a gang-related shooting outside the Northridge Fashion Center, authorities said.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A man was critically wounded during a gang-related shooting outside the Northridge Fashion Center, authorities said Sunday.

The shooting occurred at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the 9300 block of Tampa Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police had no suspect information and would not comment on why they believed the shooting was gang-related.

Sources at the scene said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the Los Angeles Daily News reported that footage from a videographer showed blood on the driver's side of a white Cadillac Escalade parked by the California Pizza Kitchen, which was closed off with crime scene tape.
