Man Dies After Touching Metro Subway's 'Third Rail'
A man was electrocuted by the third rail at a Los Angeles Metro station Tuesday morning, authorities said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man who was found dead at a Los Angeles Metro station Tuesday morning had apparently touched the subway tracks' "third rail," according to authorities.
Firefighters responded at around 11:30 a.m. to the Westlake/MacArthur Park Station on Alvarado Street following reports that a man was lying on the tracks at the station, which services the B and D lines, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The man "apparently made contact with the electrically energized 'third rail,'" the LAFD's Brian Humphrey said. The rail, located next to the train tracks, powers the trains.
