Man Found Dead On Metro Train Tracks In Los Angeles
A man was found dead on the tracks near a Los Angeles Metro station Monday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was found dead on the train tracks at or near the Leimert Park Metro station Monday morning, apparently after being struck by a train, according to authorities.
Authorities responded to the Leimert Park K-Line station at around 7 a.m. to investigate a report that a male had fallen onto the tracks from the platform and was run over by a train, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
Firefighters responded and found one deceased person on the tracks, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The circumstances of the person's death remain unclear. Metro described the person who was found dead as a "trespasser."
Trains will bypass the Leimert Park Station in both directions. Riders are directed to use the MLK Jr. Station or use bus service on Crenshaw Boulevard. Metro Bus lines 40 or 210 on Crenshaw can be used to reach Leimert Park from either MLK Jr. or Hyde Park stations.
