Man's Body Found In 'Shed-Like Structure' In Playa Del Rey: Report

The fire department told CBS it will help "in the safe and dignified removal" from the still difficult to access structure.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The body of a man in his 40s was found in a "shed-like" structure in Playa del Rey on Saturday morning, the Los Angeles County Fire Department told CBS News.

The body was hidden in the structure, which was underneath the Culver Boulevard bridge in the Ballona Creek flood control channel, at around 10:40 a.m. and the cause of death remains unclear, the outlet reported.

In a statement to the outlet, the fire department said, “personnel will assist in the safe and dignified removal of the body from the still difficult to access shed-like structure, at a yet-to-be determined time.”
