May Day Marches Mean Street Closures For LA Tuesday
Police ae warning drivers to avoid a route along Olympic Boulevard and other Downtown streets that will shut down for May Day protesters.

LOS ANGELES, CA — May Day marches will block streets in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday, police warned Monday evening.
Drivers and bus passengers were warned to expect long delays on streets, including Cesar Chavez Avenue, Olympic Boulevard, Figueroa Street and Alameda Street, between 11 a.m. to at least 6 p.m.
At Pershing Square, at 5th and Olive streets, protesters will begin arriving at around 7 a.m. A march will begin there at 1 p.m.

Participants in the second march will begin to gather in the area of Olympic Boulevard and Broadway by about 1:30 p.m. This march is scheduled to kick off by about 3 p.m.
The department did not release march routes.
