LOS ANGELES — Good news Los Angeles fans: The NBA on Monday released the 2019-20 schedule, and it turns out the Lakers and Clippers will duke it out on opening night.

The season starts with a bang Oct. 22 with the defending champion Toronto Raptors — sans Kawhi Leonard — facing rookie phenom Zion Williamson and the new-look New Orleans Pelicans. After the conclusion of that game, the Los Angeles Lakers will battle the Los Angeles Clippers in a star-studded matchup featuring superstars LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Paul George and, of course, Leonard.
