NorCal Sandwich Chain Mr. Pickles Opens First LA Shop
Mr. Pickles serves up stuffed sandwiches, from Italian classics to California mainstays, often on Dutch Crunch bread.
LOS ANGELES — A beloved Bay Area eatery has come to Los Angeles. Mr. Pickles Sandwich Shop is open for business in Van Nuys, the chain announced earlier this month on social media.
Located at 7070 Sepulveda Boulevard, Mr. Pickles serves up stuffed sandwiches, from Italian classics to California mainstays, often on Dutch Crunch bread.
The sandwich shop first opened in San Mateo in 1996 and, with 54 Northern California locations and six in Arizona, Eater LA reported, it has created a cult following, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

New additions to the menu include the Goomba, with capicola and pepperoni, Eater LA reported, and the Mama Mia, with meatballs and pepper jack. The chain is expected to open more restaurants in Southern California, according to Eater LA.
“The Los Angeles launch is the next step in our long-term plan to take the brand nationwide,” CEO Mike Nelson told the Daily News.
