LOS ANGELES, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

How do you know the local hero?

I'm a veteran in rehabilitation post-bladder reconstruction surgery

What does the local hero do?

The entire nursing and medical staff go way and beyond taking care of the veteran's needs in order to restore our strength and abilities to be back home and functional. The team includes Therapists, mental health, occupational therapy, physical, and recreational therapistS with virtual animal visits. The nurses and their assistants are just a red-button call away. The team needs to hear how important and vital they are for all of us veterans to heal from our wounds, surgeries, treatments, or illnesses.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Because they deserved to be recognized, appreciated and thanked.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

How amazing, caring, devoted and professional The Rehabilitation Team is at 2East wing is.
