LOS ANGELES, CA — We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, forecasters say monsoonal moisture will spread over the region between Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing the possibility of showers and thunderstorms potentially into Saturday.
The highest chances of showers and thunderstorms will be in the mountains and desert, with lesser chances west of the mountains, according to the National Weather Service.

"Highs on Monday are expected to be in the 80s and 90s away from the coast and with 70s along the beaches. Further warming is expected through Wednesday," according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 100s in the low desert and mid 90s in the Inland Empire and high desert.
