Overturned Cement Truck Shuts Down Northbound 710 Lanes
A cement truck overturned on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Lynwood and all but one northbound lane was shut down Saturday.
LYNWOOD, CA — A cement truck overturned on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Lynwood and all but one northbound lane was shut down Saturday while crews cleaned up about 40 gallons of spilled cement.
The mishap was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 4:14 p.m. Saturday on the northbound Long Beach Freeway just south of Imperial Highway.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 4:25 p.m. shutting down all northbound lanes and the Imperial Highway off-ramp, then reported at 4:34 p.m. that the fast lane was reopened but the off-ramp remained closed. The SigAlert was canceled at 7:49 p.m.

About 40 gallons of product spilled from the blue truck when it overturned, Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The driver was reportedly not injured, but taken to a hospital as a precaution, the CHP reported.
