P22 Mountain Lion Spotted Sipping From Los Feliz Backyard Pond: Report
The "Brad Pitt of Mountain Lions" was once again spotted in a home, this time taking a sip to cool down from the heat.

LOS FELIZ, CA — A Los Feliz backyard pond got a celebrity visitor over the weekend: P-22, the famous “Brad Pitt of mountain lions” who has often been spotted in the hills around Griffith Park multiple times. He is thought to be the only mountain lion living freely in a large city in the country, and has own Facebook and Instagram pages.
A homeowner told Eyewitness News that she was going to clean her pond when she saw the big cat sipping out of her pond, likely to cool off from the 85-degree heat. She said that she and P-22 made eye contact, but he remained unfazed and continued to sip from the water for about 20 more minutes before heading back into the hills.
P-22 has been making the rounds around Los Feliz, Silver Lake, and the Hollywood Hills for a while. Last week, Eyewitness News reported that he was spotted roaming around the Hollywood Hills. Homeowner Kevin Prince said that it was the fourth time he had seen the lion in a year, and set up a camera to prove it was the one and only P22.

In March, P22 was even bold enough to stroll down Silver Lake Boulevard to Berkeley Circle. A video widely shared on social media shows the cat walking down the sidewalk at 7 p.m. past cars and headlights, and lounging beside trash cans.
