Part Of Metro C (Green) Rail Service Suspended Through Saturday

A portion of rail service on the C Line (Green) is currently closed between Lakewood/I-105 and Vermont/Athens Stations due to signal system.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A portion of rail service on the C Line (Green) is currently suspended between Lakewood/I-105 and Vermont/Athens Stations due to signal system upgrades, according to Metro officials.

The service closure went into effect Thursday night and will remain in place until Saturday, October 23.

The following stations currently remain closed: Long Beach Bl, Willowbrook/Rosa Parks, Avalon and Harbor Freeway.

Free bus shuttles are available and replace service between Lakewood and Vermont/Athens, matching train service as best as possible.

According to the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority, staff will be on site and able to provide assistance at all stations affected. Please allow extra travel time to complete your commute.

Regular service will resume Sunday, Oct. 24.
