Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Construction Van On 10 Freeway
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a construction van on the 10 Freeway over the weekend.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner Sunday released the name of a man who was struck and killed by a construction van while walking on an off-ramp of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles.
The decedent was identified as Cesar Navarro, 36, according to the agency's website.
CHP officers responded at 12:30 a.m. Saturday to the westbound freeway at San Pedro Street, where they learned Navarro was struck near the bottom of the off-ramp by the van, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
