Person Killed On 405 Near Van Nuys: CHP

VAN NUYS, CA — A person was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Van Nuys involving a black Ford F-150 pick-up and an unknown vehicle, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 5:20 a.m. on the northbound freeway at Sherman Way, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the location at 5:18 a.m. transported no one to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A Sigalert, issued at 5:59 a.m. closing all northbound lanes at Sherman Way, was canceled at 10:34 a.m.
