Plane Crashes In LA County; FAA Notified

Emergency personnel arrived around 5:15 p.m. to find a single-engine plane that had crashed in an open field.

VALENCIA, CA — A plane crashed Sunday evening in Valencia, a Los Angeles County fire official said.

Authorities received a call shortly after 5 p.m. for an aircraft down in the area of Henry Mayo Drive and The Old Road, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Fire Fighter Specialist Jonathan Torres.

Emergency personnel arrived around 5:15 p.m. to find a single-engine plane that had crashed in an open field, Torres said. Two people had been on board, but neither was hurt and there was no fire, according to Torres.

The Federal Aviation Administration was notified of the incident, Torres said.
