Police: East Hollywood-Area Burglaries Also Included Sexual Assault

LOS ANGELES, CA — A series of home burglaries in the East Hollywood and Silver Lake area also included a sexual assault of a female victim, police said Sunday.
The "hot prowl" residential burglaries occurred early Saturday morning, according to detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Area division.
One of the burglaries also involved a sexual assault, but police had no suspect description.

It was also unclear what was stolen in the burglaries. Residents in the area were encouraged to turn on all exterior lighting, lock all windows and doors and be vigilant for any suspicious people and vehicles. Authorities encouraged witnesses to report suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1.
The LAPD also asked other potential victims of residential burglaries and anyone with information about the crimes to call Detective Bridges at 323- 561-3465.
