Police Search For Man Who Sexually Assaulted Child At Bus Stop

A 12-year-old girl waiting for her school bus in Pasadena reported being approached and sexually assaulted by a man.

PASADENA, CA — Police are searching for a man who groped a young girl as she waited for her school bus in Pasadena Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred just before 7:30 a.m. at a bus stop in the 300 block of North Lake Avenue, where a 12-year-old girl waited for her bus. After the sexual assault, the child boarded the bus, and called her mom when she arrived at school.

"The victim, a Pasadena resident, was not injured. Once she arrived at school, she called her mom, who took her home, where she reported it to the police department," police said in a written statement.

Authorities did not give a description of the suspect. Anyone who may have information about the incident or potential video footage is urged to call the Pasadena Police Department at 626-744-4241.
