Prolific Thief Who Stole $25K Worth Of Shoes Across LA County Arrested: LAPD

The 23-year-old was arrested after he was linked to nine separate robberies and grand thefts, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 23-year-old man was arrested recently after he was linked to nine separate robberies and grand thefts, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department's Commercial Crimes Division Organized Retail Crimes Task Force (ORCTF) arrested Henry Rivera of Compton on July 2. Rivera is accused of stealing more than $25,000 worth of merchandise from shoe stores across Los Angeles County, according to the LAPD.

Police obtained a search warrant linked to the nine separate incidents. During the search, detectives recovered two guns and a "substantial amount" of stolen items, police said.

Rivera was booked on suspicion of grand theft. He's being held on $300,000 bail, police said.
