One person was arrested from the Lexus, CHP Officer Sean Lough said.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A two-hour pursuit of a possibly armed car theft suspect inside a black sedan wound through southeast Los Angeles County for two hours and involved a second car, authorities said Monday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers began the pursuit at 8:04 p.m. Sunday when they checked the license plate on a black sedan and it did not match the car, Officer Tony Im told City News Service.
The driver failed to yield, Im said, and the pursuit that followed covered freeways and surface streets around South Los Angeles and southeast LA County.

At about 9:15 p.m., the suspect wearing black clothing stopped, got out of the black car and jumped into the back left seat of a white Lexus sedan that was driven at speeds of over 100 mph on the Harbor (110) Freeway, Hollywood (101) Freeway, San Bernardino (10) Freeway, San Diego (405) Freeway and Harbor Freeway again, according to helicopter video on KCAL. It then returned to surface streets.
The Lexus was seen crashing head-on into another vehicle around San Pedro and 87th streets and one person was shown running away. The pursuit continued onto the eastbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway where sparks were seen flying out from the left side of the car and a California Highway Patrol officer was able to stop the car with a precision immobilization technique (PIT maneuver) at 10:02 p.m. near the Atlantic Avenue exit in North Long Beach.
