RELISH: A New Culinary Celebration Debuts in Newport Beach this June

This summer, a fresh flavor is coming to Southern California’s coastal culinary scene. From June 27–29, 2025, RELISH will make its debut at VEA Newport Beach, A Marriott Resort & Spa, offering an opulent weekend of flavor. Spearheaded by Celebrity Chef Jamie Gwen and event planner Nicole Hirsty, this three-day celebration of food, wine, and spirits offers unique events, tastings, classes and dinners. Far from a typical tasting event, RELISH is an immersive affair that brings together elite culinary talent for a weekend of gourmet discovery. The lineup includes celebrity chefs Tyler Florence, Scott Conant, Gale Gand, and many more set to deliver a weekend of decadent dining and interesting food and wine classes.

The festivities kick off Friday evening with the RELISH Cocktail Party offering a first glimpse of the weekend’s culinary experiences. Guests can sip expertly mixed cocktails and sample signature creations from standout chefs and mixologists in a setting designed for mingling and music.
Later that evening, a private dinner with Chef Scott Conant offers a rare chance to enjoy a four-course feast crafted by this world-renowned chef.

Saturday: Where Mastery Meets Experience
Saturday is all about hands-on learning and exclusive access. Guests can participate in interactive master classes with culinary experts including Aarti Sequeira, Gale Gand, Cheesemaster Afrim Pristine, and esteemed winemakers Chris Kajani and Bob Cabral. From the art of chocolate and the intricacies of cheese to pairing caviar with vodka, every session offers expert insight and an elevated perspective on the craft behind the cuisine.
The evening ends with a Cheese Masterpiece, a towering 12-foot display led by Afrim Pristine, followed by An Evening with Chef Tyler Florence. Featuring a curated four-course menu inspired by his celebrated restaurants, Wayfare Tavern and Miller & Lux, this sit-down event includes live entertainment and wine pairings.

Sunday: Indulgence Meets Intention
The weekend wraps with two standout Sunday experiences. The Doughnuts + Sushi Brunch blends East and West in an innovative and delicious morning brunch. Culinary stars Gale Gand and Zac Young reimagine brunch classics with freshly prepared sushi, churros, and doughnuts.
Later, guests can wind down with RELISH Wellness, a mindful and restorative afternoon dedicated to balance and wellbeing. From yoga and meditation to thoughtful nutrition workshops, this final experience is a refreshing close to a weekend rich in indulgence.

RELISH partners with the James Beard Foundation, reaffirming its commitment to culinary excellence and inclusivity.
