Road-Rage Brawlers Arrested After Knocking LAX Passenger To The Ground: LAPD
An elderly bystander was knocked to the ground by two men engaging in a road-rage brawl in the LAX drop-off loop, police said.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Two men accused of critically assaulting an elderly woman while she was checking her baggage curbside at LAX were taken into custody Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Jasan Givens Sr. was taken into custody at Western and Florence avenues at around 10:05 a.m. Friday and booked on suspicion of felony battery. His bail was set at $50,000, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police did not publicly identify the other suspect, who was also arrested. He turned himself in, though police did not say what charge or charges he was booked on.

The incident occurred May 31 at around 9:25 a.m., when a woman who was checking her bags curbside was knocked unconscious and hospitalized in critical condition. Givens and the other suspect are accused of getting into a road-rage related fistfight with her, according to the LAPD.
"The two individuals slammed into the elderly woman, causing her to fall to the ground knocking her unconscious," the LAPD announced in a written statement. "The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition. She has since been released from the hospital."
