SigAlert: LAPD Officer Injured In 405 Freeway Crash
The crash shut down the San Diego (405) Freeway at the Sepulveda Pass, heading into the after noon rush hour.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was hurt Thursday in a crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway at the Sepulveda Pass, triggering a rush hour SigAlert.
It wasn't immediately known how serious the officer's injuries were.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on the northbound 405 near Skirball Center Drive at about 4:30 p.m.

All lanes were shut down as Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics treated the downed officer.
As of 5 p.m., the 1,2, and 3 lanes were still blocked by the wreckage. Traffic is backed up for miles, according to the CHP.
