LOS ANGELES — As the weekend wraps, we've rounded up some of the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
SoCal was on high alert after Trump was shot in the ear Saturday, despite no known threats locally. The Los Angeles Police Department and LA County Sheriff’s Department said they were monitoring the shooting, and working with federal partners to ensure local security.
Local mayors, supervisors, and representatives also weighed in, condemning the violence and expressing gratitude that Trump was alright.

While Trump made it, others did not: fitness guru Richard Simmons died at 76, while former “90210” and “Charmed” star Shannen Doherty died at 53 after a long battle with breast cancer. A beloved gorilla at the San Diego Zoo also died at 52.
