A Southwest Airlines flight suffered engine failure above the Southland Thursday.

A Southwest Airlines flight suffered engine failure after departing Hollywood Burbank Airport Thursday morning, according to a report.
Flight 1394 was en route to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport when the crew reported the engine issue. The plane safely landed at LAX around 8:15 a.m., The Hill Reported.
The Boeing 737-300 taxied without incident to a gate at LAX, Reuters reported.

“Following the uneventful landing, the aircraft taxied to a gate at LAX, where we accommodated our Customers on the next flight to Phoenix,” an airline spokesperson told the publication. “We appreciate the professionalism of our Pilots and Flight Attendants in safely handling the situation.”
