Suspect In Stabbing Deaths Of 3 Relatives In LA County Arrested
Police believe a 23-year-old man detained while trying to flee the killings in Baldwin Park murdered his family members.
BALDWIN PARK, CA — Police arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the fatal stabbings of three of his relatives in their Baldwin Park home the day after Christmas, authorities announced Friday.
The suspect was detained and arrested after reportedly crashing his car while leaving the scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has not publicly identified the suspect nor the three victims, who died at the scene in a home at the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue.
"Out of respect for the family of the victims, the exact relationships will not be released at this time," LASD Lt. Michael Modica said.

Baldwin Park Police Department officers were called to the home on a cul-de-sac just before 7 p.m. Thursday. The officers arrived to find the slain victims — two females and a male, according to Modica.
The victims had suffered multiple stab wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Modica said that when officers arrived, a 23-year-old man tried to drive away from the scene but was detained. He was arrested and booked at the Baldwin Park Police Department on suspicion of murder.
Detectives were working to determine a motive for the killings.
A neighbor told KNX radio that a cousin with whom he lives heard noises coming from the house at about 6:30 p.m.
"She heard a loud noise, someone yelling for help [and] to call 911," the neighbor said. "And then she heard a guy scream, like, just to the top of the lungs and after that she all she heard was just a loud crash. Like [a] boom, like someone slammed the door really, really hard."
