'Test My Corpse:' Man Offers Violent Message During Costco Standoff: Reports
A man who led police on a chase remained in a standoff with police two hours later outside a Los Angeles Costco.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A man remained in a standoff with police in a Costco parking lot Monday afternoon, two hours after he led officers on a chase, according to reports.
Police were initially called to the 800 block of Academy Road in Elysian Park at around 10:30 a.m. in regard to a man who was making criminal threats, KTLA reported.
The man led police on a chase in what appears to be a small passenger bus to the Costco parking lot on Los Feliz Boulevard, about 6 miles away, the station reported.

That's when the standoff began.
It continued as of 12:40 p.m. At least six Los Angeles Police Department patrol SUVs were positioned in front of the bus, which was parked in a space along the perimeter of the lot next to train tracks. The man appeared to be speaking with officers from the door, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Aerial footage broadcast by the stations showed a message spray-painted in red on the hood of the bus: "toxicology test my corpse and this vehicle."
