2 Surrender To Los Angeles-Area Authorities After Dangerous Chase

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA — A carjacking suspect surrendered to law enforcement officers Monday morning on the I-5 Freeway near Santa Fe Springs after leading authorities on a dangerous chase on multiple busy roads and freeways through West Covina and into Commerce.
Live video showed deputies following a speeding, white pickup truck around 11:30 a.m. Monday. The truck weaved in and out of traffic, crossed into oncoming traffic and ran multiple red lights. A live feed was provided of the chase by KTTV.
Multiple media outlets reported the driver was suspected in a carjacking.

The truck drove southbound on the I-5 Freeway and was heading toward Orange County around 11:45 a.m. before it pulled over, KTTV footage showed.
The driver got out of the vehicle with hands in the air on the side of the freeway, and officers appeared to take him and a female passenger into custody.
