Vehicle Crashes Into Liquor Store In East Hollywood

A car crashed into a liquor store in East Hollywood Sunday, destroying the storefront, authorities said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A car crashed into a liquor store in East Hollywood Sunday, destroying the storefront, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, just west of Vermont Avenue, at about 2:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

No injuries were reported in the crash, and police said it was determined that the motorist was not under the influence.

The driver and store owner "exchanged information," an LAPD officer said.

Fire personnel dispatched to the location at 2:36 a.m. transported no one to a hospital, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, who added that "we did not request building and safety."

Fire personnel were at the scene for a little under 20 minutes, Stewart said.
