Descanso Gardens’ beloved winter tradition, Enchanted Forest of Light, returns to illuminate the season with an interactive, nighttime experience that invites guests to explore the gardens in a whole new light.
From November 16, 2025, through January 4, 2026, visitors can wander through a one-mile pathway of large-scale, colorfully lit installations designed to delight all ages.
Returning favorites include the stained-glass cottages by Tom Fruin, the dazzling geometric sculptures of HYBYCOZO, and the ever-popular Flower Power experience along the Promenade. The Ancient Forest glows with softly illuminated trees and fog, while the Descanso Railroad joins in with custom holiday lighting. Seasonal snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

“Enchanted continues to evolve while staying true to what people love most—the beauty of light and nature coming together,” said Juliann Rooke, Chief Executive Officer of Descanso Gardens. “Our new music and mixology nights add a fun twist that lets guests linger a little longer and see the Gardens in a whole new way.”
Dine at Farmhouse at Descanso Gardens
The new on-site restaurant, Farmhouse at Descanso Gardens, will be open during Enchanted. This farm-to-table culinary experience offers a relaxed, yet refined dining experience. Chefs Rich Mead and Adam Cherney spotlight local, sustainably sourced ingredients and present each dish to appeal to all your senses. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.

New This Year: Music & Mixology Nights
Two special ‘Music & Mixology’ evenings debut this year on December 10 and 11, featuring live performances by Yachty by Nature, a six-piece band bringing smooth late-’70s and early-’80s yacht rock hits to the Main Lawn.
Guests can sip seasonal craft cocktails while enjoying performances at 6:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., included with regular Enchanted admission.

- Hours: 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Timed Entry: Every 30 minutes from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
