Woman Dangles From Overpass And Falls Onto Passing Car, LA Freeway Shut Down
The woman was seen dangling from an overpass Tuesday before falling onto a passing car, according to authorities.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A woman died Tuesday after she fell or jumped from an overpass onto the 110 Parkway in Highland Park, where she was struck by a passing car.
Authorities were alerted to a woman dangling from the Avenue 60 overpass of the Arroyo Seco Parkway at around 10:20 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The woman, who was in her 50s, fell or jumped, and hit a vehicle. She was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LAFD.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, Lantz said.
All northbound lanes of the parkway were closed between Avenue 52 and Avenue 60 after the incident.

The left lane was reopened about 11 a.m. The other lanes remained closed as of 12:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Aerial footage aired by KTLA showed a white tent erected under the overpass.
