Woman Injured In Scooter Fire At Downtown LA High-Rise
Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital in fair condition.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 68-year-old woman suffered a severe leg injury Sunday when she jumped from a third-floor fire escape during a fire involving an electric bicycle/scooter at a downtown Los Angeles high-rise, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched at 9:47 a.m. Sunday to 451 S. Main St., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The fire in the third-floor hallway of the 12-story structure was held in check by sprinklers and fully extinguished by first arriving firefighters in less than 20 minutes, the department added.

"A 68 year-old female resident (undetermined relationship or proximity to the scooter) reportedly jumped from a third-floor fire escape prior to LAFD arrival, sustaining a severe leg injury and minor facial trauma," the LAFD's Brian Humphrey said.
Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital in fair condition. No other injuries were reported.
