• UC Merced Selected to Host Prestigious COSMOS STEM Program, Opening Doors for Central Valley Students (losbanosenterprise.com) — High schoolers in Los Banos could soon access a top-tier residential STEM summer program just up the road at UC Merced, without leaving the Valley. Starting July 5, 2026, COSMOS will bring four weeks of intensive, hands-on science and engineering projects, college-style living, and mentorship, with financial aid available so strong local students aren’t turned away by cost.
