$1,000 Scholarship Awarded To Los Alamitos High Schooler

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — One Los Alamitos High School senior received a $1,000 scholarship from the Rossmoor Woman's Club for her exceptional character as a student.

The club recognizes students monthly and April's honoree is Nina Lynes. Nina has been a Girl Scout for 13 years and has completed numerous projects including building and donating a lending library to the McGaugh Elementary School preschool.

"She has been a member of the California Scholarship Federation for the past four years and recently became a member of the National Honor Society," club members said.

Nina has also participated in the French Honor Society since her junior year and serves as the co-president.

In the fall, Nina plans to attend the University of California, Davis where she will major in International Relations, the club said.
