A passenger was injured from the shattered glass in the Wednesday night incident, officials said.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – A male passenger was slightly injured by shattered glass when a car was hit by what appeared to be a shot from a pellet gun on the Garden Grove (22) Freeway in Garden Grove, authorities said today.

The attack took place about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday on the eastbound 22 Freeway near the Harbor Boulevard exit, according to a Garden Grove Fire Department dispatcher. The injured man was treated at the scene but was not transported to a hospital, the dispatcher said.
