Driver Killed Crashing Into Pole On PCH in Seal Beach
The crash was reported at 4:26 a.m. on PCH at Anderson Street.
SEAL BEACH, CA — A man died Saturday when he crashed a car into a pole on Pacific Coast Highway in Seal Beach.
The crash was reported at 4:26 a.m. on PCH at Anderson Street, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Nick Nicholas.
The driver was unresponsive inside the car when officers arrived, Nicholas said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling southbound on Pacific Coast Highway at a high rate of speed," Nicholas said. "The driver appeared to have lost control and collided with a pole. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved, and the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle."
The driver's name was not released pending notification of relatives, he said.
