Earthquake Rattles Seal Beach Monday: Did You Feel It?

A small quake struck near the coast of Seal Beach Monday afternoon.

SEAL BEACH, CA — The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 2.0 magnitude earthquake struck in Seal Beach Monday afternoon.

The quake shook at about 2:45 p.m. and the U.S. Geological Survey estimated the center to be near the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge in Orange County.

The center of the earthquake was about 7.5 miles deep and was felt in nearby areas as far as Garden Grove and Signal Hill.

Officials didn't report any damage or injuries due to the quake.
