Free Blood Pressure Screenings, Education Meeting, Farmers Market

1. Today at 11:30 a.m. Preschool Story Time will be held at the Los Alamitos-Rossmoor Branch Library, 12700 Montecito Rd. in Seal Beach. The class includes fun stories, silly songs and crafts.

2. A Farmers Market will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 13960 Seal Beach Blvd. The farmers market is located near Leisure World and has a variety of items including organic fruits, vegetables, bread and much more.

3. The Los Alamitos Unified School District's Board of Education meets Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., 10293 Bloomfield St. in Los Alamitos.

4. The Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services department will be hosting a free Blood Pressure Screening on Thursday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nursing students from California State University Long Beach will be offering free blood pressure screenings as well as providing participants information on resources available to them. The event will take place at the Los Alamitos Recreation Center Lounge, 10911 Oak Street. For more information call 562-430-1073.
