Jumping Great White Shark Sighting Shuts Down Stretch Of OC Coast
A shark seen jumping out of the water early Wednesday morning shut down a stretch of Huntington Beach until Thursday morning.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A shark sighting in Huntington Beach Wednesday morning prompted authorities to shut down a stretch of ocean until at least Thursday morning.
The sighting was reported at 8:10 a.m. near Tower 26, city spokesperson Jennifer Carey told The Orange County Register.
According to the newspaper, the shark was seen circling the surfline and was reported to be a great white.

The water closure impacted Seapoint Street to 14th Street in Huntington Beach until 8 a.m. Thursday.
